A simple app for learning multiplication and division that shows visual representations of the multiplication and division process. This is intended for third grade math students struggling with multiplication and division. This is similar to how kids are taught to make equal rows or groups forming an array for multiple addition and can help the 3rd grade student understand multiplication and division process.
As a volunteer math tutor, I felt the need for a simple app to help explain multiplication and division.
Choose an equation from a multiplication table or enter the equation to solve and it will display the multiple addition table with rows and columns so the user can see how multiplication and division works. It builds the table row by row to help understanding.
Additional features have been added:
- Allow equation entry from table
- Show the equation answer in an equation list in addition to the the original table building method
Emulators used for optimization: Nexus 7, moto X, Galaxy S3
Note: The attached video is recorded from windows using a low-resolution Android emulator. The audio issues are due to the emulator. I'm sure it will sound much better on your phone or tablet.
This application is in its early stages of development. Comments are appreciated. The full version is still in development.
This app requires no permissions so there is absolutely no tracking.
